Newburgh Healthcare made a donation to the Vanderburgh Humane Society and ordered a "Cuddlegram" for our residents this Valentine's Day! This is a yearly fundraiser for the Vanderburgh Humane Society. For a reasonable donation, the recipient of the Cuddlegram receives a visit with a puppy (kittens and bunnies are also an option), a personalized card, roses, and chocolates.
We have a lot of dogs providing pet therapy visits at Newburgh Healthcare, but never have we seen such smiles when our residents got to hold a puppy!
Our staff enjoyed the visits just as much as our residents!
Did you know the Vanderburgh Humane Society offers adoptable animals free of charge to senior citizens? The Pets for Seniors program waives the adoption fee for those who qualify!
